In this sermon, Pastor Geoff Kirkland continues the exposition of Revelation at the Sunshine Ministries homeless shelter in downtown St Louis.
In this sermon, he pleads with the men to repent and believe in Christ so that they will enter the new heavens and the new earth. This is the glorious and eternal abode for all believers. Those who will escape hell are those who put their faith in Christ now!
"The Glory of the Gospel & the Baptism of Saved Sinners"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches Psalm 19 and shows how this magnificent psalm reveals the glory of God in a number of ways:
1. In general creation (the heavens)
2. In special revelation (the Scriptures)
3. In the heart of every saint (the application of the Word)
What a glorious psalm to study and upon which to meditate. May the words of our mouths (external actions) and the meditations of our heart (internal thoughts) be pleasing in your sight, O Yahweh, our Rock and our Redeemer.
"The Glory of God and the Dominion of Man Displayed--All for the Glory of God"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches an overview of Hebrews and shows the supremacy of Christ. Then, at the conclusion of the "Doctrinal" portion (chaps 1:1 - 10:18), he works through the last verse regarding Christ's great and final forgiveness:
1. the MEANING of forgiveness.
2. the POWER of forgiveness.
3. the FINALITY of forgiveness.
4. the PERMANENCE of forgiveness.
Pastor Geoff preaches the biblical gospel -- the Reformation gospel -- from Romans 1:16-17. In this sermon, Pastor Geoff shows what the true, biblical message of the gospel is under 5 headings that come out of these verses.
This message also shows how the biblical gospel CAN NOT be mixed with the Roman Catholic gospel. They are at odds with each other and cannot unite together. We who have the only true message of the gospel must reach out in love to our friends and proclaim salvation by grace alone, in Christ alone, through faith alone -- ALL for the glory of God alone.
Pastor Geoff preaches on the glorious pronouncement that Jesus Christ is LORD! But how does the Lordship of Christ relate to eschatology (end times)? What does it mean that 'every knee will bow' and 'every tongue will confess' that Jesus Christ is LORD? What about demons, devils, angels, saints, nonbelievers, those in hell? What will they do? Will they all declare Jesus is LORD?
This study examines Philippians 2:9-11 and shows how all rational creatures on that future day will most certainly affirm and pronounce that Jesus Christ is LORD!
In this teaching session, Pastor Geoff works through the middle set of Tribulation judgments (the 7 Trumpet Judgments) and specifically looks at the 5th and 6th Trumpet Judgments and the monstrous demonic invasions that will occur during this future period. The 5th trumpet will be an unleashing of demons to torment people for 5 months. The 6th demonic invasion will bring death to 1/3 of the world's population at that time.
Listen to this message to understand more of God's judgment that will come upon a world that has refused to repent and turn to Christ!
Repent! Turn from your sins! Flee from the wrath to come! Find shelter and safety in Christ Jesus alone!
"The Future Salvation & Restoration of the Jewish People!"
Pastor Geoff teaches the CFBC men on the "future salvation & restoration of the Jewish people" -- from Romans 11:25-26, Zechariah 8, 12-13 and 14. He also looks at Ezekiel and Jeremiah also.
"The Future Regathering, Restoration & Salvation of the Jews"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff exposits Isaiah 27 -- the last chapter in Isaiah's little apocalypse (Isa 24-27).
Here we see the faithfulness of God to His people, ethnic, national Israel.
1. Your faithful God will VANQUISH EVIL
2. Your faithful God will PROTECT ISRAEL
3. Your faithful God will REGATHER ISRAEL
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff Kirkland continues the exposition throug the book of Revelation. Revelation is a prophecy, that is, an unveiling of future events through John to the Church.
In this sermon, Geoff shows that after Christ's 2nd coming in power and glory (Rev 19), Christ will establish an earthly kingdom for 1,000 years where He will rule and reign powerfully, visibly, bodily, and literally from Zion!
This message continues the exposition through the Book of Revelation and it highlights the 1,000 year period when Christ will reign on the earth & believers will reign with Him.
There is much in the Old Testament (scores of texts!) that the New Testament teaching on the Kingdom builds upon. The New Testament does not reinterpret or replace the Old Testament, but it affirms it and validates it.
Listen to this teaching that describes what the future period will be like when Christ rules as King on earth from Zion.
This sermon covers Isaiah 2.
The overview of the intro section of Isa 2-4 is as follows:
A. God's future kingdom established (2.1-5)
B. Condemnation of PRIDE generally (2:6-22)
B. Condemnation of PRIDE specifically (ch.3)
A. God's future kingdom established (4:2-6)
Then we saw in Isa 2 the contrast between what IS TO COME and what is NOW.
We must interpret biblical prophecy, in Isa 2, normally, literally and with straightforward interp which will lead to a future, earthly kingdom.
2 main points:
1. the Holy One of Israel PROMISES A FUTURE KINGDOM ON EARTH (vv.1-5)
2. The Holy One of Israel PUNISHES ALL THE PROUD IN JUDGMENT (vv.6-22)
