Consider the great love of Jesus Christ from Ephesians 3.19 --
A practical way to meditate on the facets of Christ's great love for us. His love is supreme and preeminent because...
No love STOOPS like Christ’s love
No love SUFFERS like Christ’s love
No love GIVES like Christ’s love
No love LASTS like Christ’s love
No love SATISFIES like Christ’s love
No love MOTIVATES like Christ’s love
KNOWING this love…
but will make ushappy, holyandusefulin our day and generation.
One great cause of the present condition of the Church is that we do not know Christ’s love to us. We spend out time with petty things, and in fussy activities and discussions. Were we to be full of this love and of the knowledge of this love we would be entirely transformed. It is this knowledge that makes us mighty. That is why the Apostle prayed without ceasing that these Ephesians might “with all saints comprehend what is the breadth and length and the depth and the height, and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge”. Oh that we might know it, and grow in it and rejoice in it.
In this podcast, Pastor Geoff talks about Jesus Christ as our SUPREME good -- our all sufficient portion of infinite goodness.
Jesus is the MOST SUPREME good.
Jesus is the MOST SUFFICIENT good.
Jesus is the MOST SUITABLE good.
Jesus is the MOST SANCTIFYING good.
Jesus is the MOST SWEETEST good.
Jesus is the MOST SECURING good.
Jesus is the MOST STRENGTHENING good.
Pastor Geoff preaches Hebrews 10 at New Community Church (St Louis) on WHY the death/crosswork of Jesus Christ is REALLY sufficient. How do we know His work really is *ENOUGH*?
1. Because of the inadequacy of the Law
2. Because of the majesty of the Son
3. Because of the singularity of the Atonement
In this sermon, our savior prophecies about His mission to suffer & die and He reveals the details in 3 ways that all speak of what the Savior did for you.
1. Your Savior was HANDED OVER for you.
2. Your Savior was CRUCIFIED for you.
3. Your Savior was RAISED for you.
