Pastor Geoff shows from Psalm 51 what true repentance looks like. He practically takes the enduring truth from God's Word and specifically applies it to various life situations today so that we can learn how to repent and be reconciled to Christ.
The doctrine of the Bible is sorely attacked by many in our day -- not only from outside the church but also from *inside* the church.
But what was Jesus' view of Scripture? How did He view the Word of God?
INFALLIBLE (cannot be broken) - John 10.35
USEFUL (have you not read...)
KNOWABLE (Mark 12.10 - have you not even read)
SUFFICIENT - Luke 4 - temptations (fought Satan with Scripture)
RELEVANT -- he used it in communication (Matt 19 - divorce; Deut)
TRANSFORMING --- John 7.38 - whoever believes, from his innermost being will come rivers of living water
GOD-BREATHED -- God's very words: Has not GOD said (Matt 15.4)
Since this is Jesus' own view of Scripture, let us recover and wholeheartedly embrace this high view of God's Word and trust everything it says -- from beginning to end.
