Psalm 111 takes us to the school of God so that we marvel at the works of the LORD. Verse 2 says: Great are the Works of the LORD. Geoff preaches and shares how we can marvel at God's works and how we should live so as to put the awesome character of God on display by the way we live our lives.
In this audio-blog, Pastor Geoff concludes the 5-part series asking & answering the question: Is Same-Sex Attraction Sinful?
The Bible answers this question quite clearly and in this audio-blog, Pastor Geoff shows that same-sex attraction is sinful because Romans 1:27 and 2 Peter 2:8 shows that the desire for homosexual activity is in fact sinful.
Pastor Geoff continues the audio-blog series showing why same-sex attraction is in fact sinful.
Part 3, here, deals with the reason why it is sinful, namely, because the sin does not begin with the outward 'act' of homosexual behavior. Rather, the sin began long ago with unmortified, internal sins of the heart.
Pastor Geoff Kirkland (of Christ Fellowship Bible Church) provides a brief-message on the issue of 'homosexuality' and he shows from the Bible, the perfect Word of God, that all homosexual activity (including Same-Sex attraction, SSA) is sinful and those who find themselves engulfed in this lifestyle must repent or they will perish in hell.
The grace of God remains available for all to hear the gospel, repent of sin (turn!) and to flee to Jesus Christ so that they can be forgiven of their sin and escape the coming wrath of God!
Pastor Geoff briefly gives an overview of each of the 8 predominant words that occur in Psalm 119 to refer to the Word of God (Law, Statutes, Precepts, Word, Ordinances, Testimonies, etc.).
"Intro to Psalm 119 — The Placement of Psalm 119 In the Psalter at Large"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches on the narrative of the two and a half tribes returning home to the East Side of the Jordan River. The zeal for the LORD almost leads Israel into a full-blown internal war.
Look at how we can learn from this example of having a godly zeal for God. Yet we must be willing to make and maintain peace in God's community as well.
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff continues the exposition through Habakkuk. How do the people of God live when the wicked seem to triumph? Where do we go? Where do we turn? How do we find hope?
In Habakkuk 2 (esp v.4), we find that the chief element to remember is to 'live by faith' (cf. Hebrews 10:36-39).
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff concludes the 3-part series on Habakkuk and shows how the 'just shall live by faith' and when the Godly man lives a life praising God, marveling at God's majesty & glory, His eyes will lift from the problems and situations here and gaze upon the sovereign Warrior-Lord of heaven and earth.
This is part 1 of a 3-part series as Pastor Geoff preaches through Habakkuk. How could God seem silent when the wicked seem to prosper (cf. Ps 73)? How could God seem indifferent, inactive, apathetic? Does He care?
When God's people are oppressed, does God not care?
In using the Islamic "shariah" law as an example, Pastor Geoff speaks about how believers must respond in perplexing situations — have an unshakable, unwavering faith in God and in His unchanging character!
