Geoff preaches Amos 7 where God gives Amos three visions of the coming destruction. After Amos intercedes and pleads for God's mercy on behalf of Israel, God temporarily restrains his hand but ultimately, judgment must come. Then the second half of the chapter is the historical account where the false priest Amaziah tells Amos not to preach but Amos is under divine mandate from God. We must preach the Word of God whether people want it or not. We must be faithful proclaimers of God's Word.
Pastor Geoff open air preaches the gospel on Revelation 2 and on how the church will -- and must -- suffer. So Christ's message to God's people is: be faithful until death & you won't be hurt by the second death -- the Lake of Fire.
"God's Overwhelming Forgiveness Resulting in Your Humble Love for the Savior!"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches the glory of God's Word from Psalm 51 as David repents before the Lord after he committed adultery with Bathsheba. This psalm provides GOD'S TEMPLATE FOR US FOR REPENTANCE...
1. See your sin
2. Hate your sin
3. Confess your sin
4. Slay your sin
5. Forsake your sin
6. Replace your sin
This sermon exposits Proverbs 8:1-11 on Wisdom "Personified" as a street-preacher. God's wisdom calls out to all passers-by -- including the naive and the fools -- to get, listen, take in, and hold on to God's Truth!
This section shows us that God's wisdom is...
It is flawless
It is priceless
Listen to this exposition & cherish the wisdom of God above all else!
Pastor Geoff preaches this unit of Psalm 119 -- the unit of 8 verses, vv.33-40 -- and shows how God's Word gives the sufficient guidance so we can know His will.
-what is God's will for my life?
-who should I marry?
-what job should I take?
-where should I live?
Many of the questions of life demand good answers. The Word provides the biblical framework -- the parameters, the boundaries -- so that we pray fervently, trust the Scripture & rely on the Spirit of God to live within those boundaries.
When we're doing that, we're free to choose the desires of our hearts.
This sermon examines the great prayer of Moses: "Show Me Your Glory"
We learn about Moses' great pursuit of God. What is the glory of God? What does it mean to ask -- show me your glory, O God? How much of God do we want? How hungry are we for God?
1. BEHOLD the glory of God
2. ENJOY the glory of God
3. ANTICIPATE the glory of God
4. PURSUE the glory of God
Pastor Geoff preaches on God-Centered Worship:
What are elements of God-Centered Worship?
1. ascribing praise to God
2. remembering the works of God
3. warning sinners of the wrath of God
4. refocusing on the sovereignty of God
5. resolving to walk obediently before God
Psalm 88 is the prayer of Heman the Exrahite as he prays himself through the hardest and toughest times in life. Interestingly, this is the most depressing psalm in the Psalter as it ends on a hopeless, dark, and sour note. Listen and hear how the psalm relates to today and how you can benefit from this immensely useful psalm.
Pastor Geoff teaches on living in light of the Lord's coming. We must be observant of the signs of the times and we must always be on the alert and watchful so that the day of His coming does not take people by surprise.
Let all God's people heed the words of Christ and be alert, sober, ready and anticipating His soon-return!
