Pastor Geoff provides counsel to seek wisdom from others -- from Godly counselors -- before making decisions:
Make decisions (when you have to decide between two good options):
- biblically -- be biblical, read/survey/carefully go thru the Word
- seek counsel from your shepherds
- multitude of counselors
- the motive of your decision(s)
- where's Christ in your thinking
- what could best serve your local church?
Pastor Geoff shows how there is a great depth to a Premil understanding -- a literal, grammatical, historical interp of the BIble will inevitably lead to Premil. A faithful hermeneutic and consistent one will lead to Premil.
Far from being superficial or a surface level understanding, Premil is actually quite deep in its thoroughness and comprehensive cohesion of Scripture. It employs a faithful hermeneutic and results in a right and accurate interpretation of the Bible.
Pastor Geoff speaks to the issue of how to train leaders and how pastors can do this well and effectively in the local church. This is vital for obedience to Christ and for the well-being of the local church.
Pastor Geoff speaks to the importance of men of God having others who hold them accountable. It is vital that men of God have others who love them enough to walk with them, speak truth into their lives, reprove them when they've sinned, and help walk with them in confession, repentance, mortification, and obedience.
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff provides 5 descriptions of pastoral, elder, shepherd leadership so that we can (1) know what biblical church leadership is to be like, (2) pray and ask God to raise up leaders at CFBC that meet these qualifications, and (3) affirm those whom God is raising up in our midst to serve His flock.

5 utterly devastating tragedies about SIN>
Man’s sin is EXTENSIVE — every part of his being
Man’s sin is INTENSIVE — it’s rebellion against God; it will incur divine wrath
Man’s sin is OFFENSIVE — it slays human pride/self love; condemns him fully
Man’s sin is COMPREHENSIVE — man can’t do anything but sin in unregenerate state
Man’s sin is INTRUSIVE — we inherited it from Adam; he can’t do anything about it
"Disciplining Your Children With Gospel-Grace — Practical Steps"
So your child has sinned and you've taken them to the room for discipline. So what do you do then? What, practically, does discipline look like?
Gather the facts - "what happened?"
Reach the heart -- "how did you respond?" Why?
Expose the sin -- Specify the sin (heart of selfishness, control, anger, etc.)
Prove it biblically --- ideally, open a Bible and show them the Scriptures.
Give the discipline -- use the rod.
Express tender love -- hold them, hug them, verbally tell them: "I love you"
Give the gospel -- do you know why I did this? You've sinned. God is holy. You're a sinner...
Pray with them -- Pray for them and move on tenderly, lovingly, caringly.
Pastor Geoff preaches on King Manasseh of Judah and shows how he was one of the most wicked men in Judah's history. Nevertheless, God humbled him and drew him to repentance. No sinner is too far from God's saving grace.
In this sermon, pastor Geoff preaches on 1 Thess 5:20: "Do not despise prophetic utterances." He talks about what prophecy is, what it means to despise prophecy, and how we can apply this text today.

In this sermon, Pastor Geoff continues the expository preaching series through Ephesians. Ephesians 4:29-30 gives the example of PUTTING OFF rotten words and PUTTING ON edifying, helpful words. Here in v.30 are 2 reasons/motives:
1. To give grae to those who hear
2. To not grieve the Holy Spirit of God

"Do Not Worry! The Sin of Worry & the Divine Remedy for It!"
Pastor Geoff continues the exposition through the Gospel of Luke & preaches 12:22-34 on the 'sin of worry.' Even though all people battle with sin and anxiety it is not to be tolerated and shoved aside as simply an 'issue' that everyone deals with.
It is sin and we must call it such. And there is, by God's glorious grace & clear revelation, a divine remedy for the sin of worry/anxiety -- faith in God & active, intentional & frequent thanksgiving to God (Phil 4:6ff).
