Pastor Geoff preaches on this historical section of Paul's love and concern for the Thessalonian Church and how he sends Timothy to strengthen & encourage them in the midst of their hardships. All believers are called to suffer. Listen to and apply this practical sermon.
"Be Thankful That the Father Gave You to the Son!"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches at the Thanksgiving worship celebration and reminds the believers to be thankful because:
1) God gave you to His own Son
2) the Son gave you eternal life
Rejoice in the eternal purposes of sovereign election!
Pastor Geoff continues the exposition through Luke and teaches Luke 12:41-48 as our Lord teaches the crowds that all must be ready for the coming of the Son of Man.
Those who know the Master's will and do not act accordingly and prepare themselves will receive many lashes (in hell). Those who do not know his will but still do deeds worthy of condemnation will receive but few (in hell).
With greater light and exposure to the gospel, the condemnation of sinners will be greater. Don't fall into the lowest depths of hell from the pew of your bible-teaching church! With much light comes great responsibility!
This sermon covers the next section in Ephesians in our verse by verse, expository study -- on being wise, being understanding, and knowing God's will. We must make the best use of our time -- we must redeem the time (Eph 5:15-17):
WHY you must redeem the time.
HOW you must redeem the time.
HINDRANCES to you redeeming the time.
ETERNITY's call for you to redeem the time.
Now is the acceptable time! Behold TODAY is the day of salvation!
Pastor Geoff preaches Acts 9 on the conversion of Saul and how God called Ananias to go to Saul and to tell him God's message that: God had appointed him to 'bear God's Name' before kings, before Gentiles, and before the sons of Israel.
That was Paul's mission -- to BEAR GOD'S NAME before all men. And, of course, Saul would suffer greatly for it.
This sermon in the open air tells WHY we open air preach every week at the same spot. We bear God's Name before all men -- doctors, the homeless, nurses, students, visitors, etc. We want all to know of this Christ who died for sinners & rose for their justification! Repent & believe in the gospel today!
"Because the LORD Reigns, Strive to Rightly Respond & Exalt His Name!"
Pastor Geoff preaches on the sovereign reign of God and how true believers should stand in awe of Him, rejoice in Him, and live holy lives before Him. He concluded with an application illustrated by the way Hebrews 1 quotes Psalm 97. Listen and learn from Psalm 97.
In this message, Pastor Geoff preaches the entire unit of Luke 3:1-18 and shows how John the Baptist came from God and preached an urgent — and necessary — message of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
Listen to the message of the forerunner of the Messiah. Listen to how serious he took sin. And yet notice how humble he was in that he pointed all attention to Christ, the Coming One!
Geoff preaches Psalm 110 and heralds the truth of the Messiah's sovereignty and future Kingdom as well as His priestly nature. Geoff shows how this directly relates to our lives here and now and he calls the listeners to believe in Christ and be saved by this sufficient High Priest.
"Behold—Here Is Your God; The Knowledge of God Should Affect How You Live"
Pastor Geoff preaches his last sermon at CCC and teaches on the character of God. He provides nine attributes of God from this magnificent psalm and shows how the knowledge of who God is must impact the way we live our lives. He calls us to repent, believe in Christ, and live wholeheartedly for Him. Listen & apply this sermon.
In this sermon Pastor Geoff preaches Mark 3:31-35 -- being in the family of God
1. The natural family (31-32)
2. The spiritual family (33-35)
Pastor Geoff preaches the gospel during the busy lunch hour in downtown Clayton, MO. He preaches Romans 10:9-10 and speaks about how faith alone in Jesus Christ is all that is needed to be saved!
Listen to this gospel pleading on the streets inviting all to come & embrace a sufficient Savior!
