"What If a Friend Tells You About Sins of Another?"
Pastor Geoff answers the question: "What if a pastor/elder continues in sin?" What if a pastor does not repent of a known sin and brings reproach on Christ, no longer lives a blameless/above-reproach life?
How should this situation be handled with a pastor/elder who persists in sin?
The Bible, in 1 Timothy 5:20, provides clear biblical help in this situation.

A few encouragements...

Persevere — keep enduring and persevering patiently and prayerfully
Inquire — for help/encouragement/accountability
Engage — even more in ministry life
Capitalize — use it as opportunity to shepherd them on what a local church is to be/do
Pastor Geoff provides some pastoral counsel to someone who may ask: What if my church isn't evangelizing?
1. Be praying.
2. Be communicating (with your pastors)
3. Be initiating (start)
4. Be developing (find someone and bring them with you
5. Be hoping (many may be evangelizing yore not aware of -- moms, family worship, work, etc)
6. Be conversing (about gospel conversations you have. Share this with others)
The doctrine of the Bible is sorely attacked by many in our day -- not only from outside the church but also from *inside* the church.
But what was Jesus' view of Scripture? How did He view the Word of God?
INFALLIBLE (cannot be broken) - John 10.35
USEFUL (have you not read...)
KNOWABLE (Mark 12.10 - have you not even read)
SUFFICIENT - Luke 4 - temptations (fought Satan with Scripture)
RELEVANT -- he used it in communication (Matt 19 - divorce; Deut)
TRANSFORMING --- John 7.38 - whoever believes, from his innermost being will come rivers of living water
GOD-BREATHED -- God's very words: Has not GOD said (Matt 15.4)
Since this is Jesus' own view of Scripture, let us recover and wholeheartedly embrace this high view of God's Word and trust everything it says -- from beginning to end.
