Pastor Geoff preaches part 18 on the study through Psalm 119 and teaches on how God is righteous & how the Word is perfectly righteous.
This 8-verse stanza (vv.137-144) unveils 9 attributes of the Word that comprises the heart of this sermon.
Understand how great God's Word is, how perfect it is, how reliable and trustworthy it is, and thank God for His unswerving righteousness revealed in Scripture & imputed to those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation!
Pastor Geoff preaches on the text in Luke 24:36-43 (and the parallel in John 20) when Christ appears to the disciples when they were locked behind closed doors (and Thomas was absent). He is the solution for the troubled heart.
He COMES to you.
He COMFORTS you.
He COMMUNES with you.
He CONVINCES you.
"The Road to Emmaus: Jesus Dispels Disappointment By Preaching Himself from Scripture!"
In this message, Pastor Geoff preaches on the 2 travelers who journey to Emmaus as the Risen Lord meets them on the road. And He then explains the meaning of the Scriptures to them starting with Moses and all the Prophets.
This sermon walks through the narrative in three phases.
Pastor Geoff exposits 1 Peter 5:1-4 on this Sunday that the church affirmed & installed a new shepherd-elder.
This text teaches what a shepherd-elder is to be and do:
He must shepherd the flock of God that He has put among them.
1. NOT under compulsion, but voluntarily.
2. NOT for gain, but eagerly.
3. NOT as authoritarian dictators, but exemplary servants.
"The Role of Women in Church: Modesty & Submissiveness"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff begins a 5-part series looking at the historic doctrine (=dogma) of the Roman Catholic Church. This sermon shows that the Roman Catholic doctrine has explicitly denied Scripture alone.
Then, Pastor Geoff exposits Psalm 19 and shows how God has revealed Himself clearly, sufficiency in Scripture, and authoritatively for life.
Embrace the reality that the Bible -- and the Bible alone -- contains all that we need for life and godliness. God has spoken clearly through His Word. Read it, believe it, understand it, and obey it!
Pastor Geoff preaches Isa 40 on the streets of St Louis & teaches on the attribute of God's self-existence -- God depends on nothing and no one for life and for existence. He is perfectly self-sufficient & self-sustaining in and of Himself.

Geoffrey R. Kirkland
Pastor Geoff preaches Luke 9:1-10a on Christ's calling and commissioning of the 12 Apostles to do ministry in the Galilee area. In this message, Geoff shows how to properly interpret this unit (the narrative genre) and he shows what are the marks/characteristics of a true Apostle thus showing that all of the Apostles ceased in the 1st century (with all the miraculous, apostolic, sign-gifts).
But in this text, 5 helpful truths come to light for all Christians since all believers are ministers of the new covenant and we are called to be ambassadors for Christ to take His gospel to all the nations.
Listen to these 5 helpful truths to guide you through your life of ministry.
Pastor Geoff describes the 'pulpit' of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus did not preach this in a large cathedral or at a church conference. He preached this in the open air with masses of crowds that had gathered around Him.
"The Servant of the LORD & the Gospel that Saves: The Substitutionary Atonement of Jesus Christ"
Pastor Geoff preaches through Isaiah 53 to prepare for the Lord's Supper. In this sermon, he walks through the chapter and provides FOUR ways to remember Jesus Christ in preparation for Communion.
Jesus Christ died as the atoning, wrath-bearing sacrifice in the place of His people.
Pastor Geoff preaches through this Olivette Discourse (since Jesus preached it on the Mt of Olives) as he answered the disciples' question about when the Temple will be destroyed, what the signs will be of His coming and of the end of the age.
This first sermon deals with Jesus' answer of the 'signs that will come' that lead to the end (vv.5-19).
"The Signs of the End: Jerusalem's Destruction: A Foreshadow of the End!"
Pastor Geoff preaches on the next unit in this 'end-times' discourse that Jesus gives to His disciples on the Mt of Olives (see parallels in Matt 24-25 and Mark 13). In this sermon, Jesus speaks of when the stones will fall from the Temple and not be left upon one another.
Jesus answers the question of "when" the temple will be destroyed here in 21:20-24. It is a severe, divine, just, and swift punishment -- for sin. It occurs because Israel did not recognize the day of God's visitation (in Christ).
But all of this foreshadows, it pictures, it points to a coming day of ultimate vengeance not with human armies, but with God's Son when Christ returns in power & glory to judge the world for its unrighteousness!
Flee to Christ! Be saved from divine wrath! There's safety only in Him!
