In this sermon, Pastor Geoff proclaims the Word from Joshua 22 when the 2 1/2 tribes return home and construct an altar. The other tribes in the Promised Land see it and rise up with great zeal to wage war against the seemingly-apostate tribes.
What happens? How is civil war averted? What can we learn? How do we see the good and the bad lessons to learn from?
In this message, Pastor Geoff heralds the first part of Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3 -- this prayer is a transitional hinge reflecting on all the glorious Truth from chapters 1-3 and it also prepares the believers for the exhortations and commands in chapters 4-6. This prayer shows us:
1. his posture -- kneeling
2. his position -- as a son coming before the Father
3. his petitions
In the petitions, there are 3 primary requests Paul prays for in this prayer to the Father on behalf of the Ephesians...
1. Paul wants them to be STRENGTHENED WITH GOD'S POWER (16-17a)
2. Paul wants them to be ASTONISHED BY CHRIST'S LOVE (17b-19a)
3. Paul wants them to be FILLED WITH GOD'S FULLNESS (19b)
"Practical Lessons for Preserving Unity Among God's People!"
Pastor Geoff guest preaches at New Community Church in St Louis, Missouri and proclaims the faithfulness of God from the Word of God so that we may learn how to preserve unity among the people of God.
We commend the zeal of the Israelite tribes for the purity and holiness of God.
But we also learn lessons about preserving and cultivating unity. 4 practical lessons:
1. Prioritize obedience
2. Shun accusations
3. Respond patiently
4. Continue harmoniously
"Precision in Proclamation: A Roundtable Chat With Open Air Preachers"
In this roundtable discussion, 5 men gather together to discuss PRECISION IN OUR PROCLAMATION -- how can we be precise in our theology, in our proclamation of the gospel, in our prayerfulness, in our humility and demeanor, and in our preparation to preach on the streets.
The 5 men at this Roundtable are:
1. Tom Rayborn
2. Dave Bowman
4. Nathan Groves
5. Geoff Kirkland
Pastor Geoff preaches on the streets of St Louis, MIssouri during a very busy and crowded lunch hour. He preaches on the sin of anger. We're guilty. Yet, for those who acknowledge their anger, their sin, and run to Christ at Calvary for mercy and grace, He will forgive them and wash their sins away! O May many turn to Christ and live!
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff preaches on the unfathomable riches of Jesus Christ (Eph 3.8b). This sermon is more of a thematic, topical message that shows forth the glories and excellencies of Jesus Christ.
We see that He is unfathomably glorious in 4 spheres...
1. in his PERSON
2. in his PERFECTIONS
3. in his PROPITIATION
4. in his PROMISES

"Younger Saints! Here's How You Can Serve In Your Church!"
In this sermon, Pastor Geoff expounded Ephesians 3 on the Christian ministry. In Ephesians 3:8-13, Paul exposes his heart by discussing the glory of Christian ministry -- preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ. This sermon brings out 5 marks that describe every Christian who views ALL OF LIFE as a ministry (=service) to God:
1. A proper perspective of self
2. A consuming love for Christ
3. A precise grasp of theology
4. A clear understanding of salvation
5. A heartfelt concern for believers
Listen to the Word of God and let us respond accordingly and apply it to our hearts and lives!
