In this message, Pastor Geoff continues the exposition preaching through the Book of Psalms and he heralds this glorious chapter on the confidence that God provides to those who trust in Him.
God protects His people like the mountains that surround Zion. He goes before them, behind them, and the righteous ones endure forevermore!
The need is for us as the people of God to trust in our God, to rely on Him, to believe in Him. To trust God is the total casting of the total self upon a triumphant Savior. Psalm 125 describes God's great promises of protection for His people.
"The Person of Jesus Christ! Let Us Worship, Marvel, and Love this God-Man!"
Pastor Geoff preaches an advent 2015 sermon on Colossians 1:15-20 on the glorious Person and work of Jesus Christ.
This sermon text provides 5 massive realities about Jesus Christ —
1. Jesus is FULLY GOD
2. Jesus is POWERFUL CREATOR
3. Jesus is ACTIVE SUSTAINER
4. Jesus is SUPREME AUTHORITY
5. Jesus is the ONLY SAVIOR
Pastor Geoff preaches through the Book of Esther on the streets of St Louis and shows how God, by His mighty power and strength, protected His Jewish people from being annihilated by Haman.
In the same way, God has a great plan to protect His elect, covenant-people through Jesus Christ. God sent Christ to deliver those who are in trouble -- eternal trouble. Luke 13:3 speaks to this. Unless you repent you will perish!
Listen to this exhortation and gospel call on the streets of St Louis.
In this wonderful psalm of ascents, David wrote and pondered what things would be like if God had not been "on our side." O the terrible consequences and the amazing judgment that Israel of old would have received! But bless God that He did intervene and deliver His people!
For us as New Testament believers today, God is "for us" and we must bless His Name for we have escaped God's eternal thund'rous wrath because God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all!
Pastor Geoff preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ from Psalm 3 at the Senior Living home in St Louis, Missouri to many older folks. This message calls the hearers to:
1. Pray to God
2. Trust in God
3. Hope in God
For the Lord Jesus Christ is Savior because salvation belongs to the LORD!
"One Thing Necessary: Sitting at Jesus' Feet Hearing the Word of God!"
Pastor Geoff preaches on this wonderful passage of Scripture which reminds God's people that there ultimately is one thing necessary for us. With all the businesses and distractions of life, we must keep the main thing the main thing.
This message provides 4 simple helps so that we can remember the one thing necessary (sitting at the Lord's feet hearing His Word) amidst very busy lives.
In this 15-minute message, Pastor Geoff provides a number of reasons why believers must engage in the ongoing, never-ending, thrilling study of the Person of God.
1. Because God deserves to be adored and worshiped.
2. Because it drives us to the cross.
3. Because it compels us to proclaim the gospel to the lost.
4. Because it guards us from idolatry (thinking about God wrongly)
5. Because it is the unshakable foundation where joy is found.
"When the Proud Scoff & Treat You With Contempt, What Do You Do?"
Pastor Geoff preaches on the text of the familiar "Good Samaritan" account. The religious scholar, the 'lawyer' or, scribe, comes to Jesus and asks what he must do to inherit eternal life.
In speaking to this self-righteous, works-righteous, self-deceived man, Jesus shows the absolute bankruptcy of all works-based faiths (=religions) and shows how it is absolutely impossible to get to God by trying to keep the Law.
God truly hides spiritual truths from the wise and intelligent of the world. But He reveals gospel truth to infants. And it is these who in turn love God and love their neighbor because God has opened their eyes to the gospel!
"Why the Original Languages Are Important in the Study of Scripture"
Pastor Geoff preaches through Luke 10:17-24 -- the return of the 70 after they fulfilled their evangelistic mission. And Christ reminds them not to rejoice in temporary results in ministry but ultimately to find their ground for rejoicing in the unchangeable and eternal reality that their names are 'recorded in heaven'.
This is the surest ground for joy in the Christian's life -- that one's POSITION before God (=name in heaven) is the foundation for joy that catapults my PRACTICE (=serving Christ in ministry) for His glory.
In this sermon there are 2 main causes for joy that are presented:
1. Rejoice that your names are eternally recorded in heaven!
2. Rejoice that your salvation is sovereignly given by Christ!
Pastor Geoff provides some foundational goals for Christian parents. The goal of parenting far surpasses time and space in the here and now. It is about preparing our children to stand before God one day. It's about preparing them to die well & stand before Christ at the Judgment.
In this sermon, seven goals are given including such essentials like praying for our children, modeling Christ for our children, instructing their hearts, teaching them to trust God, teaching them to suffer well and persevere through hardship, discipling them and saving their souls from death, etc.

Pastor Geoff preaches on Jesus' sending out of the 70 to do the work of ministry. In this message, we learn a number of important elements so that we can be equipped as laborers for Christ in Christian ministry.
Pastor Geoff continues the series on "A Godly Home" by teaching, in this session, on the intoxicating delight of sexual intimacy in marriage.
This message looks at selected Scriptures that help provide a biblical understanding of the blessed and God-given gift of sex. It is a wonderful gift, a divinely-given gift, a gift that couples should regularly enjoy in a marriage.
The meaning and blessings of sex are clearly delineated in this message.
"Your Help Is from the LORD: Your Mighty and Loving Keeper!"
Pastor Geoff preaches through the Psalms & here begins the "Psalms of Ascent" (Psalms 120-134). This 'hymnal within the hymnal' was the devotional meditative songbook for the ancient Jewish pilgrims as they traveled from their homes to Zion to worship God in the Temple.
This first of the collection (Psalm 120) recounts the psalmist as he leaves his home and as he is the object of lying and deception. He warns the enemies of divine judgment of fire that will come upon them for their lies (Rev 21:8).
And he longs for, yes he is passionately anticipating, arriving in Jerusalem to worship Yahweh with the people of God!
Let us consider these truths as New Testament believers as we also are journeying on to Zion -- our heavenly Zion!
