Pastor Geoff preaches the gospel to the folks living at the Senior Living facility in St Louis, MO and shows the folly of pride and judgment that will come upon all the arrogant who reject Christ!
Listen to this message on pride & how Christ is the Humble One who came and died for His own! Repent & follow Him!
"Jesus Warns You of 2 Common (& Tragic) Responses to Him!"
Pastor Geoff heralds the gospel on the streets of St Louis during the loud & rowdy Mardi Gras festival in February of 2016. He proclaims the One, true, and Living God and calls on all men and women to flee from sin & fly to Christ for salvation from divine wrath!
Pastor Geoff preaches the "Woes" from Isaiah 5 when God pronounces divine curses ('woe' judgments) upon the wicked who rise early to pursue strong drink and those who are heroes at drinking alcohol and who refuse to bow to God and follow Him.
In this message, Pastor Geoff earnestly pleads with the multitudes at the STL Mardi Gras festival to flee from sin and from debauchery and to fly to the mighty Refuge, the Lord Jesus Christ.
This message calls on all men and women to repent of sin & trust in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life!
Pastor Geoff preaches Psalm 130 and shows how this chapter reveals God's gospel -- for it is all about God! This is the Romans 3 of the Old Testament.
If God should mark our iniquities. That is, if God kept a record of them or if God imputed them to our account, who could possibly stand? Answer: none of us. Actually, there is One who could stand -- the Lord Jesus Christ. But God crushed Him so that we, who could not stand, may stand by faith in Christ and as we stand in His righteousness!
Listen to this magnificent psalm as it is explained and as the gospel of God's grace is trumpeted forth!
Pastor Geoff preaches Luke 11:14-26 which comprises an exorcism miracle and then a subsequent conflict that erupts because of Christ's powerful works.
It is an amazing narrative because the miracle itself (the exorcism) only occupies one verse! All of the remaining verses in the chapter deal with the virulent hostility and the surging animosity that soars because of Christ's powerful and undeniable works.
Listen to this message which focuses on Christ's almighty power over Satan, over the kingdom of darkness, and over sin! Our Savior, the Lord Jesus, has come and has defeated and destroyed the works of the devil!
Let us rejoice in Him! Let us cast our souls on Him! Let us rely fully and comfortably in Him!
Pastor Geoff preaches Isaiah 55 and pleads with hundreds of passers-by to repent of sin and follow Christ Jesus the Lord. God is calling sinners to come, buy, eat, and drink of the water of life for free -- without cost!
Salvation is free! Come and receive it by faith alone!
In this message, Pastor Geoff continues the study through prayer from Luke 11:
1. The PRIORITY of prayer (v.1)
2. The PATTERN of prayer (vv.2-4)
3. The PERSISTENCE of prayer (vv.5-8)
4. The PROMISES of prayer (vv.9-13)
This message deals with the great and large promises that God gives to us as His beloved children. We are invited to Ask! and Seek! and Knock! Let us pray with confidence and hold God to His Word!
Pastor Geoff preaches Psalm 128 which deals with family life and the joys thereof as the fear of God pervades the home.
In this psalm, God provides instructions for all people to fear God & to walk in His Ways, for the wife to make her abode and work in the home, and for the children to surround the table of the parents as they grow in grace, strength, vigor, and understanding of the fear of God.
Listen to the exposition of this text so that we can glorify Christ and have families that fear God & walk in His ways!
"The Persistence in Prayer -- Shameless Boldness in Coming Before God!"
Pastor Geoff preaches on the section in Luke 11 where Jesus teaches His followers to be importunate (persistent) in prayer. Like Jacob, we should wrestle with God until He blesses us. Like the Syro-Phoenecian woman, we must humbly bow and beg God till He listens and answers. Like Elijah, we should pray earnestly and expectantly till God fulfills His promises. Like blind Bartimaeus, we should cry out (and cry out louder) until the Lord stops, hears us, and answers our plea.
We must urgently come to God and press our longings upon His heart until He answers us! Let us not grow discouraged or fainthearted. But let us be a people who pray with persistence!
"Seeking the Blessing of God in the Building of Your Home"
Pastor Geoff continues the sermon series thru the Book of Psalms. Psalms 127 & 128 are twins as they deal with domestic issues.
Psalm 127 shows that the Godly home depends upon God and His blessing in all matters of life -- especially child-rearing.
Psalm 128 shows that the blessing of God falls upon the home that fears the LORD & walks in His ways.
Psalm 127 looks at the need to depend on God and especially the need to recover a biblical ATTITUDE toward children, biblical ACTIONS toward our children, and biblical INFLUENCE over our children.
Listen to this message & what it means that children are our "arrows".
"The Priority of Prayer, Part 2: Learning from the Pettern of Prayer from Our Savior"
Pastor Geoff concludes the 2-part series teaching on the 'Disciples' Prayer' from Luke 11:1-4 and shows what each phrase means and how we can learn from our Savior's pattern of prayer for us.
Let us enjoy God on earth as we commune with Him in prayer.
Pastor Geoff gives counsel to the young children (say, ages 6-13) and calls them to: "never underestimate how God can use young boys and girls to serve Him mightily and powerfully and globally." Consider Joseph, Daniel, King Joash, King Josiah, and Jesus as a 12-year old boy in the Temple. Live for Jesus!
Pastor Geoff provides a piece of counsel to all pastors/elders: "Be often and intimate and communing with Christ." The greatest need of our people is our personal holiness! Commune with your Savior often!
